My younger brother has a medical condition known as cerebral palsy. He recently had a health scare which involved lots of hospital and doctor visits. I noticed how compassionate and inspiring the health care workers were who helped him. I decided that I wanted to be one of the people who could help change lives. After passing CE Chemistry, Intro to Health Science, Medical Anatomy and Physiology, and Honors Biology, all with A's, I knew that health care was something I was passionate about. I believe I would enjoy and excel at as a career.I recently had the experience to intern at Dixie Pediatrics and I loved every minute of it! I learned about being a medical assistant and a pediatrician, I learned how to take vitals and administer shots. It was an amazing opportunity and I hope I can do something similar in the future.
