In my role as State Manager I ensure day to day operations work effectively and efficiently to build positive key stakeholder and client relationships and support Ablecare's programmes and services. Further, ensure delivery of programmes and initiatives is closely aligned with Ablecare Group’s vision and goals.

Miraa House makes independence real and achievable for women aged 17 and over with an intellectual disability. As the Business Development Manager, I am not restricted to the office and spend approximately 35% of my week working as a Support Worker, which allows me to gain a holistic view of the organisation. As Business Development Manager I am responsible for facilitating the NDIS transition, reviewing and improving current business procedures, systems and policies, adhering to our continuous improvement plan, improving financial transparency and sustainability, improving fundraising techniques and communications and, growing the business through government funding and grants.

During my time in Nepal, I volunteered as a teacher in a dalit "untouchable" caste village in the high hills of the Ramechhap district and also worked as a volunteer support worker at the Special Education and Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children (SERC) in Kathmandu. During my time as Marketing Manager, my key achievements included but were not limited to,✓ Voted in the top 10 for Marketing – CRT Conference 2017✓ Increased Facebook following by 350%✓ Increased Facebook weekly reach total by 3000%✓ Creation (design and copywrite) of internal & external marketing material including but not limited to, corporate brochure, internal booklet, welcome packs and instructional videos.

During my time as a high school teacher, I taught grade 7 to 12. My teaching areas included Business Studies and Digital Technology, however, I was also required to assist in other departments, including, but not limited to, English, Math, Science and Home Economics.

I provided office and administration support to Newcrest Mining’s Brisbane CBD office. To further my career options, I worked to support and assist the Corporate Affairs department on a number of different projects and also volunteered time to provide co-ordination and support to the Social Club Committee as Chairperson and the Health & Safety Committee as Secretary.
