About Sarah Josephson

"You cannot always wait for the perfect time. Sometimes you must dare to jump." Greetings and welcome! I’m an instructional designer and eLearning developer that dared to jump. Earlier last year I discovered a workshop on instructional design and learned that ID is for me. By the end, I signed up for the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA) with newfound courage. I learned that my 14 years as a curriculum developer and educator prepared me in depth for this career change. Driven by curiosity to explore technology, design principles, adult learning methodologies and data analysis I've refined my expertise in crafting impactful learning experiences. My experience in education gave me an understanding of learners’ needs and the art of engaging them effectively. I’m passionate about the creation of learner-centered activities in Storyline and Rise and using scenarios and interactions that reduce cognitive load. I have a proven ability to collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify learning gaps and write learning objectives that align with organizational needs and goals.
