This was the first service to offer a prison-based detox programme, which gained positive recognition from the Governing Governor/Commissioner. I oversaw 7 units with a budget of £4.6 million, directly supervising 5 Service Managers, as well as directly overseeing work of all subcontractors. I successfully retained and led the implementation of £4.6 million per annum contracts across all 7 prisons, and we consistently earned Excellent or Very Good marks on Her Majesties Inspections and CQC Audits. I also implemented a KPT and controlling system to monitor costs and remain within budget. I managed workload assignments, personnel development, and disciplinary actions, reporting on performances and proactively responding to issues which arose. I developed new intervention strategies based on changing prison populations, thus creating new roles and reassigning personnel as appropriate. I maintained positive working relationships with key stakeholders, conducted yearly audits, acted as Head of Department as needed, collaborated with the NHS commissioner, and consulted with HR during regional restructure, ultimately ensuring that contracts were maintained and daily operations were run smoothly according to service specifications.

I was a CQC Registered Manager and the first service manager within this organisation to directly deliver clinical services. I managed 4 units, oversaw project management, performed one-on-one interventions, and handled day to day issues as they arose. I supported line management and ensured delivery against KPTs. I ensured the correct collection and collation of statistical data and met with governors and other providers to present the progress of the program. I reviewed interventions and population changes in order to design new interventions in response to changing needs in each prison, developing and reallocating personnel as appropriate. I also created and implemented a Peer Support Treatment intervention programme.

In this position, I performed interviews and assessments of individual clients and using this information to design informed, individualized treatment plans including one-on-one sessions and group programmes. I oversaw the development of appropriate release plans, and ensured appropriate collection of data for audit, research, and reporting purposes.
