At the Blundon Centre for Students with Disabilities, I was responsible for helping with exam accommodations by supervising groups of students during academic testing sessions. I also helped to provide individualized accommodations for students by reading and/or scribing tests in a wide variety of subject areas.

My primary responsibility as a Peer Advisor with the Academic Advising Centre was operating the MUNLive Undergraduate Chat to answer students’ questions regarding a variety of topics, including admissions requirements, academic programs, campus life, and more. Through the Establishing Student Relationships Program (ESRP) team, I worked with my supervisor as well as other student staff members to engage prospective students and provide them with information about Memorial University. As a senior student Peer Advisor, I assisted in the development of training resources for new Peer Advisors, including a handbook which outlined position roles, responsibilities and expectations, tips for advising students, as well as a user guide for the MUNLive Undergraduate Chat. Near the end of this position, I also collaborated with my supervisor to research and plan a social media strategy within the office to further engage and connect with Memorial University's student population via Facebook and Twitter.

During the 2014-2015 academic year, I was a member of the Memorial University Residence Life Team. Within my residence building, I collaborated with five other staff members to enforce MUN's official housing policies regulations. In preparation for this job, I received certification in Standard First Aid as well as Mental Health First Aid, and used these practices as needed to help ensure residents' continued mental and physical well-being. During this time, I also planned and facilitated a variety of events to engage students and promote the development of an inclusive residence community. As the Academic Assistant on my team, I was also responsible for providing academic advice to students, and helped them to work toward their academic goals by hiring several senior students in the residence as tutors and overseeing a free in-house tutoring program.
