I am an event planner at heart; it is a big part of who I am and how I think. I planned my first event at 10 years old - my parents were celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary and I coordinated everything, with a little help from them of course. Since then I've been planning all sorts of events ever since. Much of obstetrical care is event planning; you work alongside the mother-to-be to arguably plan the largest event of a woman’s life, the birth of her child. From the first prenatal visit to the labor and delivery, each visit is another planning meeting that helps usher this soon-to-be-mom into motherhood.My master’s degree allows me to function in two separate but important roles. As a certified nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner, I am dedicated to helping each woman plan along this journey into motherhood and have a great birth experience while in the hospital. ⇒Certifications in following trainings
