I'm a policy expert, practitioner, and storyteller. I spend half my time as a non-resident scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where I research and write about disasters as a looming shock, and how we can meet the climate moment with policy imagination. The other half of my time, I pursue meaningful projects with interesting people. In 2023, I produced my first documentary film, TEXAS, USA (find it on Apple, Google, and Prime) about the progressive organizers and candidates who have long been confronting rising authoritarianism in Texas. I live in Houston because I like being close to people working in movements for change, which is what inspired me when I worked in international human rights at the State Department and NYU Center for Business and Human Rights.
