When I was seven years old, I wrote a song and named it “The Garden”. It talked about how I wish the neighbors would stop littering our common garden after briefly describing how plants grow. It was no surprise that 10 years later, I decided to study biology, and loved gardening. As a biology student, I was fascinated by natural systems. The intricacies and how every balanced and unbalanced interaction within these systems significantly affects our lives intrigued me. They changed the way I see the world and our most pressing challenges. This fascination made me focus my career on improving the impact we have on the natural world. I retired from my songwriting career when I was about 12, and now in my free time, I like running, reading about sustainability in food systems and finding creative ways to reduce waste.
