As a Social Services Assistant at Madigan Army Medical Center, I provide supportive services to patients and families in the Emergency Department, such as mental health assessments, crisis interventions, referrals, and follow-ups. I work with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals, social workers, and chaplains, to ensure the best possible outcomes for the patients. I have developed strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as compassion and empathy for the diverse and complex needs of the population I serve.I am pursuing my MSW from Florida State University, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work and a focus on Medical Social Work. I have a BA in Social and Behavioral Science from the University of Southern Maine, where I studied psychology, sociology, policy, ethics, and leadership. My education has prepared me for a challenging and rewarding career in social work, where I can apply my knowledge, skills, and values to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I am interested in exploring opportunities in recruiting, or other areas that align with my passion and goals.
