I was awarded a summer internship in the highly competitive Public Interest Law Initiative (PILI) internship program. I coordinated the annual eviction court monitoring program by arranging for volunteers to collect eviction data in the Circuit Court of Cook County, and reporting the findings. I also represented tenants who were facing eviction.
