Group Leader & Caretaker For Primary School ChildrenPcyc Cooktown School Age Care Jan 1997 - Jan 1998Though I worked full time as a teacher at the local high school during my time in Cooktown, Australia, when school was on vacation (for holidays and during the summer) I also worked as a Lead Program Coordinator/Caregiver of the local vacation care program for primary school age students. Our time was spent playing organized games, creating various arts and crafts projects, orchestrating story times, snack times and nap times, as well as relaxing and bonding with the children in less structured playtimes. I loved my work and the children immensely and still cherish memories and photos of our time together.

Cooktown Computer Stuff was initially founded by a husband and wife team that moved to Cooktown shortly after I arrived. However, upon opening, having seen that I was already offering computer training and basic trouble shooting services to the community, they ask me to work under the banner of their company name, though fully autonomously, in exchange for office space in their downtown retail store and office.
