Sarah Lovell Email and Phone Number
For over a decade I managed American Express and Coca-Cola's global transformation projects, before making the leap & launching my own freelance event consultancy in 2010. During this time, I project managed several of Australia's largest music festivals and industry-leading events, & in honesty, probably one too many grandiose weddings. In 2014, I combined my passion for events, experience in the corporate world, & tertiary studies in Strategic Leadership, at Fairfax Media. As Business Development Director in the Strategy & Innovation team of Life Media and Events, in 18 months revenues from this arm of the media conglomerate doubled through national expansion of events such as Good Food Month, the largest fun run in the world City2Surf, acquisitions of new events (such as American Express Openair Cinemas) and development of new events such as the Australian Financial Review Business Summit. After two years in the Business Development role, I was honoured to accept the role of General Manager, Fairfax Events & Executive Leadership Team member of Fairfax Media, reporting to the CEO of Fairfax Media. During my time in this leadership role, our team won the national honour of Best Sporting Event in Australia for the Sun-Herald City2Surf, presented by Westpac. Tourism Australia won Best Australian Event for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. An event proudly produced by my team at Fairfax Events. After 3.5 years at Fairfax Events, I accepted an exciting global events role with Motiv as their Executive Vice President in Denver, Colorado. Motiv is an active lifestyle and entertainment company focused on delivering authentic & immersive live & digital experiences. The Motiv platform consists of 41 events & digital properties in the sport, culinary & lifestyle space. After several years at Motiv, I returned to Australian shores as part of the IMG family as Senior Director of Culinary, Australia to produce WA Gourmet Escape and Taste Dining in Australia.I am thrilled to now be a part of DNSW as the Director of Investment across Culture, Entertainment and Creative Industries.

I worked with Sarah at American Express and watched her grow into an extraordinary Program Director. She isn’t just a great project/program manager she is a breath of fresh air. In a short time, Sarah proved herself in a multi-billion dollar organisation and was soon managing our biggest program across the globe - the Global Wide Area Network project which yielded $400M savings to American Express. I wouldn’t recommend Sarah unless I thought she was exceptional. What I loved about Sarah is that she just got the job done. No task was too menial for her even though she was assigned to large projects and she just did it all with a smile. She is a fantastic communicator and can make the most difficult engineers and architects stop and do what they have to do in a project.
