Oversaw the output from a team of assessors and verifiers (using moderation) within my area of responsibility. Co ordination with outside agencies such as awarding bodies and inspectorates. Facilitation of monthly standardisation meetings between assessors and verifiers.Coaching in functional skills. Inducting and assessing the submitted work of new potential assessors onto our own internal A1 assessor award.

Within this role, I was employed by the (as then) UK’s leading provider of IT support and training to young people as well as Europe’s largest Microsoft IT training academy, as an internal verifier. Pearson was an Ofsted Grade 1 outstanding supplier. Working for the Quality team, I was responsible for ensuring the quality of learner output was consistent with the standards to which it has been assessed and further ensuring the assessment decisions made are accurate by verification and sampling.
