I am a Master of Public Health candidate at Boston University School of Public Health. My academic focus lies in community health program assessment, design, implementation and evaluation, with a particular interest in respectful maternity care, birth equity, and reproductive justice.I am a 2024 Practice Fellow at the Center of Excellence in Maternal and Child Health at BUSPH, with a fellowship placement at Accompany Doula Care. I also cofounded the BUSPH Reproductive Justice Student Alliance (RJSA).In my full-time role as Community Relations Specialist with Graduate Medical Sciences at BU Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, I use my communication skills to amplify voices and stories within healthcare and academia.I am also committed to holistic student success through my leadership role in program design and management within the GMS Community Catalyst Center. These programs address the diverse needs of students: academic wellbeing; student health; professional development; diversity, equity & inclusion; and more. I am dedicated to fostering a campus environment that nurtures not only academic achievement but also the overall well-being of students. My background encompasses over seven years of professional marketing and communications experience in financial publishing, law firm marketing, and higher education public relations. I have previous research experience in rural Central American sexual and reproductive health, with a particular focus on asset-based community development (ABCD) and local-to-global program design partnerships.I am proficient in Spanish and currently learning German.
