As a Material Planning Intern, my responsibilities included:- Planning raw material purchase orders, from demand analysis in SAP to establishing forecasts using the Kinaxis system, aligning with production needs, and ensuring raw material availability for the factory.- Executing purchase orders and tracking the flow until raw material delivery, managing expiration dates, and ensuring compliance with production schedules.- Collaborating with NPI teams to monitor raw material usage and prevent waste and write-offs.Identifying and resolving physical-system discrepancies and tracking material reception until the start of production.- Developing demand forecasts and capacity planning to minimize bottlenecks and optimize material flow.As a Production Planning Intern:- Monitoring the factory production plan and verifying production capacity.- Initiating and closing production orders, ensuring adherence to established schedules.- Prioritizing production according to demand and strategic goals.- Participating in planning and follow-up meetings to align with production and logistics teams.- Contributing to the optimization of production processes, focusing on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.- Implementing actions to reduce lead times and enhance workflow between different areas.In both areas:- Monitoring KPIs and generating reports in Power BI, providing performance analysis to support decision-making.- Supporting the development of processes and systems to optimize planning and inventory control.
