Current18 Reasons empowers our community with the creativity and confidence needed to buy, cook, and eat good food every day. We offer free and paid classes, workshops, and dinners that teach people to maximize their food resources. Our free classes, called Cooking Matters, help low-income families learn to stretch their food budgets while preparing healthy, delicious meals. At our storefront space on 18th Street, we offer paid classes in anything from Basic Knife Skills to Japanese Farm Food, as well as the Kitchen Table Talks lecture series, a weekly 18th Hour Cafe, and a monthly $10 Community Dinner.
