Contracting Officer/Contract Specialist
CurrentContracting Officer: SCO-DAL Warranted. Manage a personal workload portfolio from six (6) Contract Specialists where actions range in value from the Micro-Purchase Threshold to $6.5M. Streamlining operations by developing and implementing improved contract management processes and strengthening internal controls by developing and implementing contract management policies, procedures, and templates. Ensuring timely fulfillment of contractual requirements by closely monitoring progress and addressing potential issues proactively has also been an integral part of my role thus far. Contract Specialist: Responsible for various pre-award, award, and post award acquisition activities for supply, service, and construction actions. Activities include but are not limited to negotiating acquisition method and milestones, preparing solicitations, issuing amendments, evaluating offers, recommending award, and issuing modifications and task orders. Thoroughly analyze requirement and contract documents to ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations and agency contract procurement policies and procedures. Timely award of requirements is ensured by independently managing assigned actions with minimal guidance from my contracting officer and supervisor. Manage the capacity of several Indefinite Delivery Contracts (IDC), such as SWL’s Minor Construction Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC), the SWPA6 Electrical Equipment Rehabilitation and Replacement MATOC, and other local and regional IDCs.
