I enjoy traveling and learning about new destinations, and what they have to offer in the forms of leisure and recreation. When I engage in new recreational activities, I try to fully immerse myself in the experience and engage with other participants. I want to be able to provide others with the same experiences. I have completed a bachelor's degree in Commercial Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management at Pennsylvania State University. I also completed a certificate for Meetings and Event Management. ​I have gained experience in event planning though previous jobs, classes, and extracurricular opportunities. I worked with Marriott Vacation Club as an activities department intern. I prepared for and facilitated events and activities by setting up and breaking down all materials. I shadowed the activities supervisors and learned about the managerial aspects of the activities department. Other event planning opportunities I’ve had were being an events server/assistant at Royal Fox Country Club and being involved in the programming and activities committee at Penn State Harrisburg. My main role was running movie nights committee. We worked with PSU Food Services to cater free dinners for our movie night attendees. We also determined which movie to show and acquired the rights to be able to show it on campus. I most recently completed an internship with The Union League of Philadelphia. I worked in their department of member events. I assisted in planning and ordering of materials for events. I use my recreation and event planning experiences to propel me forward in my career. ​
