In 2021, Sarah co-founded Even Capital. The traditional venture capital ecosystem is teeming with obstacles for women, and none more frustrating or unfair than the lack of funding going to female business founders. Even Capital seeks to even out the balance and pave the way for women in Aotearoa.A strong foundational executive career has progressed into multiple roles in governance across different industries in New Zealand. Sarah currently serves on the boards of National Provident Fund, NZX & ASX- listed Pacific Edge, Femmi and Orbis Diagnostics. She chairs the Audit, Finance & Risk Committees for Pacific Edge, and the Waiapu Anglican Social Services Trust Board.Sarah has a strong international executive pedigree in corporate finance, equity research and gained from working in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets teams at HSBC Investment Bank (UK) and following a move to Auckland in 2008, in the Deals team at PwC (NZ). Sarah has also managed a Family Office, which was the cornerstone investor in a US based biopharmaceutical company. Sarah spent several years in a hands on role with these companies, with a focus on raising venture capital from across the globe to fund the commercialisation and FDA trials. Sarah has a MA in Economics. She is a member of the Institute of Directors, Chapter Zero and 2X Global.
