As an Intern in the Office of Admissions at Bucknell University, my primary responsibilities include giving group information sessions and presentations to prospective students and their families, participating in the application process. I also serve on a student panel at Open House functions by talking about the benefits of a Bucknell education to an audience of over 750 prospective students and their families.

Initiated a project to compile a database of summer internship and research opportunities for current Bucknell psychology and neuroscience majors. This project involves collaboration with Bucknell alumni, current students, and faculty. I also gave information sessions about obtaining an internship which included tips on the application/interview process and funding opportunities for unpaid internships. Also partnered with Psi Chi to promote events in the department.

As a PUR fellow, I coded data videos, created new lab recruiting materials using Adobe InDesign, recruited participants in person and over the phone, analyzed data using SPSS, collaborated with investigators at Purdue University, and presented our on-going research at three different conferences.

The clinic and research program serves to identify adolescents who are at risk for psychosis and implement novel intervention programs for adolescents who have already received a diagnosis. As an intern in the clinic, I participated in grand rounds at HMS, performed data entry in SPSS and worked with patients in the PREP program. In addition, I scored neuropsychological assessments and have received training on administration of the MATRICS battery. Finally, I conducted an independent research project, which focused on identifying the biomarkers associated with early onset of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). At the end of my internship, I presented my research to the CRC's clinical team.
