We print anything from small volume digital through to high volume offset and offer specialty printing such as foiling, embossing and letterpress. We pride ourselves on strong customer service and will give you the best production advice for your printing needs. I have been designing books in a freelance capacity since working in-house as a Senior Designer at Murdoch Books in 2007. In recent years I have broadened my client base, working with various publishing houses such as Hardie Grant Books, Allen & Unwin, plum, Random House, Reader’s Digest and Pan Macmillan. The majority of my freelance work has been designing illustrated books in lifestyle and food. Working from concept to completion, I am very experienced with concept design, layouts, illustrations, art direction and photography shoots, taking my books through to final proofing. I also love to meet and build relationships and trust with the authors when possible. During my time as an in-house Senior Designer at Murdoch Books, I designed a wide range of titles including illustrated food, gardening, non-fiction and reference. I was involved in all aspects of the publications — liaising with publishers and authors, concept design, layout, picture research, commissioning illustrations and photography. I worked closely with editors, production and sales and marketing to ensure publishing expectations were met. During my four and a half years as full-time Senior Designer/Designer at Focus Publishing, I developed around 40 titles from concept to completion. Focus Publishing is a custom and corporate book publisher which enabled me to work on a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from corporate histories such as Treasures of the State Library of Victoria; Allen Jack + Cottier 1952–2002; Mirvac, A Culture of Excellence to numerous Australian industry and state books.

I designed the cover, contents and internal advertising material for this monthly magazine publication. I organised the photoshoot for the lead article, the layout for all stories and closely monitored the pagination of the magazine. I also worked closely with management and the marketing team designing all promotional material, media packages and point-of-sale display.

I was responsible for the layout of the editorial content, worked alongside the Art Director, and looked after all advertising material. I worked closely with the advertising staff and liaised closely with clients.
