The DIGR Lab, led by Dr. Linda Zou seeks to understand how social contexts affect intergroup attitudes and behavior, particularly among racial and ethnic groups. We confront the causes and consequences of stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination using social psychological theory and experimental methods, while integrating insights from other disciplines.Within my role as a research assistant, I assist in conducting literature searches, formulating experiment stimuli, collecting participant data, running statistical analyses using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), and extracting and articulating research findings.

CASA DC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy so that every abused and neglected child in the DC foster care or juvenile justice system can be safe, establish permanence, and have the opportunity to thrive. The mission is carried out through the recruitment, training, and support of volunteer advocates (CASA volunteers) who serve youth in DC. The aim of the BRIDGES program specifically, is to prevent court-involved youth from becoming multi-system involved, decrease instances of recidivism, and to promote diversion opportunities. Most importantly, the aim of the program is to empower court-involved youth to build BRIDGES - to Be Resilient, be Individuals, be Determined, be Great, be Educated, and be Safe.As a BRIDGES program intern, I assisted in program tracking and case management for youth involved with the juvenile justice system, collaborated with a team of interns to plan and execute a community service event for youth and their CASAs, and liaised between CASA professionals and volunteers to ensure all cases were properly supervised.
