I specialize in understanding the environmental barriers to success – for example, tax and other regulatory requirements – and then overcoming them with strategies that I can defend to auditors, the IRS, and local taxing authorities. My strengths include the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior leadership and to move seamlessly between creativity (developing a workable and unique solution) and execution (bringing together the right people to quickly implement and integrate those solutions). I do that with the ability to focus on the big picture and on the details, on leading a team and thinking through solutions on my own. As a leader I ensure the team understands management's goals and then listen to my team and remove obstacles so people can meet those goals. This is particularly important when you consider I manage attorneys and CPAs. That approach works most of the time, and I adapt when it doesn’t. It’s exciting when you have a challenging project or objective and then you and your team come up with a solution that nobody else came up with before.
