I do that with the ability to focus on the big picture and on the details, on leading a team and thinking through solutions on my own. As a leader I ensure the team understands management's goals and then listen to my team and remove obstacles so people can meet those goals. This is particularly important when you consider I manage attorneys and CPAs. That approach works most of the time, and I adapt when it doesn’t. You don’t often hear the word “passionate” to describe a tax attorney but I am. It’s exciting when you have a challenging project or objective and then you and your team come up with a solution that nobody else came up with before. I bring experience from Wall Street, start-ups, litigation, the non-profit world, and of course tax planning to bear in brainstorming ideas and know how to ask the right questions to find workable solutions, putting together the pieces in an unexpected way.
