I work with other graduate level peers on the notion of a contemporary Canadian identity and what it means personally to each of us. We read, research, and discuss Canadian writers, concepts like multiculturalism and intersectionality, as well as write our own pieces with an end goal of creating an anthology of our work.

I worked under Professor Sibo Chen with Ryerson University's research team as part of the Explanatory Journalism Project. We contributed to Frauke Zeller's larger team in the Global Journalism Innovation Lab, partnering with UBC, Ottawa, and Queensland University of Tech in Australia. My team looked at how COVID-19 pandemic information was relayed in The Conversation versus other alternative media sources. I helped with coding and data collection.

The Historical Society is currently working on a student-curated history of the University of Toronto, which we are digitizing into a website that can be accessible for all. It can be used for referencing in academic papers or simply to learn interesting facts about this amazing institution. Our website will be up and running in January, and to celebrate, we are having a website launch reception with notable alumni and UofT faculty and students. I am the head planner for this event.
