About Aquavation: I started Aquavation® after looking for—and not finding—a way to customize a water bottle for my husband during a grueling Century bike ride. As I counsel my MBA students, 'when you need something and can’t find it, you may have discovered a viable business idea'. We ultimately partnered with a top USA bottle manufacturer, software developers, print industry experts and created the perfect reusable bottle that is a platform for our customizable digital print offerings. Curious about me?Before establishing Aquavation, I headed up a consulting firm; the Digital CMO. Our niche was helping corporations meet challenges associated with transitioning marketing teams to new technologies. Client roster included DuPont, MicroSoft, VMware. During my Xerox tenure, I held INTRA-preneurial roles working as a liaison with PARC researchers taking early software and building market worthy products and processes. I led the team in creating the business practice and software integration to facilitate what is universally known today as a Webinar (early ZOOM). The application was spun out and is sold today as Microsoft Office Live Meeting. I was responsible for digital and innovation marketing strategy and outcomes for Xerox Global Services. Through this work, I developed an extensive background in technology for various industries as enablers to business objectives.I am most proud of my work with start-up founders in the NC start-up ecosystem and at University of Rochester Simon Business School as Executive/Entrepreneur in Residence.
