Recently earned a degree in Psychology with a concentration in business from Appalachian State University. I'd love to use my knowledge of business and psychology to help make a difference at a socially responsible company.Most of my adolescence and early adulthood was spent at my local YMCA. Before I was old enough to work, I would volunteer at their youth programs. Once I turned 16, I knew I wanted to work there. I served as a counselor at their summer camp for five years in a row. I was also extremely involved in their "Leaders Club," a program for teenagers which focuses on improving spirit, mind, and body through physical fitness, volunteerism, and leadership training. My experiences with the YMCA molded the type of person that I've become. It is because of my work with this non-profit that I realized I wanted to work for a socially responsible company in the future.In the fall of 2017, I completed an internship at "Yes! We Van" in the Boston area. This business started out as a very small project, but it has continued to grow and has received a lot of praise for its success. I loved helping this company expand and improve though my human resources skills and social media marketing. I'm proud of the impact that I had on this business during my time there.
