Dietplastik Indonesia (Previously named The Indonesian Plastic Bag Diet Movement or GIDKP) is a non-profit organization incorporated as an association that has received various awards for its efforts to make Indonesia free from single-use plastics.By taking an advocacy, collaborative and educational approach, Dietplastik Indonesia has succeeded in encouraging more than 100 cities/districts to ban the use of single-use plastics. Dietplastik Indonesia was the initiator of the 2016 “No Free Plastic Bags” (#Pay4Plastic) trial across Indonesia and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry successfully reduced plastic bag consumption by 55%. This trial made a snowball effect that encouraged more than 100 regional governments to implement regulations on single-use plastic banning.• Design creative ideas and implement single-use plastic reduction campaign programs, through collaborative activities, educating youth, etc.• Coordinate with third parties who are partners in implementing an educational program.• Became a speaker for several educational activities to increase public awareness of single-use plastic reduction through behaviour change and the related policies that support it.

Responsible for managing the needs of non-formal schools under the auspices of the Mataharikecil Indonesia Foundation (MIF). Currently, MIF has two schools, namely the Open Middle School (SMP Terbuka) in Bandung City and the Warga Teladan Kindergarten (TK Warga Teladan) in Jakarta. Sarah is responsible for sustainability plans related to school operations and supporting programs for the development of students and parents of students such as capacity-building activities, dissemination of non-academic aspects, scholarship assistance, and others.

#BreakFreeFromPlastic is the global movement to achieve a future free from plastic pollution. More than 12,000 organizations and individuals worldwide have come together to demand reductions in single-use plastics and advocate for lasting solutions to the plastic pollution crisis. BFFP members work together to bring about systemic change by tackling plastic pollution across the whole value chain - from extraction to disposal - focusing on prevention rather than cure. As youth ambassador, Sarah collaborates with fellow ambassadors across countries to create impactful campaigns and advocacy activities to tackle plastic pollution.
