Anyone who knows me knows that I love numbers and have always loved and had an affinity for math. Because of this, I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Math Education from Gardner-Webb University. Teaching for three years enabled me to come across a great deal of educational data. As a teacher, I had the opportunity to access and analyze this data to determine the best ways to help students achieve success. Analyzing information and helping students achieve success through it made me realize that my true passion lies in finding the truth in numbers.I am a graduate of the Master's of Science in Data Science at Notre Dame which has enabled me to gain the skills needed to analyze and interpret information not just in education, but across all fields such as retail, business, medicine, and criminal justice. As a Data Analyst for Business Intelligence at Beacon Health System, I applied what I learned from Notre Dame to real business and health care data enabling me to communicate accurate and useful information to allow others to make the most informed decisions possible for the good of the company and the patients.My goal is to obtain a full-time position as a Data Scientist to enable me to continue finding the underlying truth in data and help companies, organizations, and people by explaining that meaning to them.
