I assisted the NOC of Belgium and NPC of Chile, acting as a liaison between the delegations and VANOC. I worked directly with the Chef de Missions of both Belgium and Chile, researching information, anticipating needs, managing team schedules and finding solutions to problems. I assisted with creating daily schedules and ensuring that international athletes and officials experienced the best of Vancouver and Whistler during the Games. The position required patience, an ability to stay calm, excellent time management skills, extensive availability, flexibility and demanding hours. My role as an NOC Assistant was more than I could have hoped for and unforgettable.
