CurrentWork has included:• Program Development: Tutoring, mentoring, academic summer camps, arts, college preparation, youth community action, and college internship programs created. Taught seminars and courses in history, entrepreneurship, mathematics, drama, movement, filmmaking, visual arts, writing, preparing for college, Appalachian studies, education, rural issues and leadership development.• Fundraising: private foundations, state funding, arts funding, state tax credit initiatives, donors, businesses; fundraisers; grant reporting; marketing. Raised our first surplus in 2004. “10 Year Fund” capital campaign. • Financial Management: Oversee budget, financial analysis, bookkeeping, payroll, fiscal review. Responsible for investment of annuity.• Organizational Development: Board development, strategic planning, facilitation.• Staff and Volunteers: Supervisor of year-round staff, summer staff, Americorps VISTA and NCCC volunteers • Training and Networking: Presented at or attended conferences in National Service, Social Services, Community Development, Appalachian Studies, National Federation of Community Broadcasters, Rural Entrepreneurship, Organizational Development• Partnerships: Developed with local public schools, after-school programs, social service organizations, libraries, arts organizations, radio stations, and funders. Developed with regional leading social justice organizations and higher education institutions.
