At Smartbox, I have lead projects from concept to implementation for the e-commerce and booking parts of the business in responsive web and apps (iOS and Android) across different markets. All projects have been driven by extensive research including industry best practices, benchmarking, Smartbox data insights and user interviews and testing. They have also gone through rounds of stakeholder feedback and buy in through presentations and KPI's. In addition, I implemented the design system and collaborated with other designers and tech teams to roll it out on web and app.Smartbox is an e-commerce/booking site and app for gifting experiences. Someone can buy their loved one a physical or digital voucher as a present. Then the receiver of that gift can redeem it against various types of experiences (ie. restaurants, parachuting, hotel stays, etc.) by booking online.

For 2 years I worked with clients in the financial, health, insurance and retail sector developing new products and redesigning existing experiences (responsive browser experiences, apps, and dashboards). Being a UX designer at Lucky Beard meant that I familiarised myself with an industry and their best practices in a short period of time. My responsibilities included: researching, conducting interviews and workshops, organising data, wireframing and prototyping from a low to high fidelity level in Figma. I also experienced collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across Europe and South Africa.

Our idea was an application where we helped consumers make sustainable purchasing decisions based on user profiles. Accomplished to turn an idea into a complete business solution to turn the takeaway sector into a circular economy. My team progressed onto the finals to pitch at the Quantum Black offices in London. The process involved interviewing experts in the food industry as well as restaurant customers.

Me and my partner designed plastic-free products for a potential zero waste shop in Dublin. We wrote a business plan and created the branding for the shop, Earth & Folk. At the end we made it through to the final where we pitched to a panel of judges for the prize of €10k.

I brought my product design skills of sketching, prototyping and packaging to my team at AMV BBDO. During my time there I created a packaging solution for Bombay Sapphire inspired in their Christmas campaign. The 'Sapphire' would hold all the Christmas themed products while offering the customer a gifts under the tree feeling by having different unwrapping sections.

The first 6 months at Oasis I was a sales associate in charge of greeting customers, answering their queries and helping them find the right clothes for them. In addition, I made sure that there was enough stock on the floor. After 6 months, I became key holder so I was in charge of opening and closing the store. The job also meant I was in charge of cashing the tills and paperwork for the managers on the next day shift.

I collected and reported data of businesses in the Latin countries. In addition I marketed the TIC Americas event through social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Finally, I designed web-page layouts on paper so it could later be coded.
