I currently wear many hats including, but not limited to wife, mom, child of God, Functional Medicine Health Coach, Scout & Cellar Clean Crafted Wine - Independent Consultant, and Occupational Therapist. These roles all make me part of who I am and push me closer to the service and opportunities that I want to share with others. Through my own personal health journey with Type 1 Diabetes and my degree in occupational therapy (OT), I found my passion for functional medicine and health coaching. From there, I launched my health coaching company, SKS Health LLC. My goal as your functional medicine health coach is to help you reveal your unique strengths, motivation, and supports to aid you in accomplishing your health & wellness goals. I am proud to share that I have earned the title of ADAPT-Certified Functional Health Coach after attending Chris Kresser's ADAPT course. As an OT, I have worked in acute care with adults, home health with children, early intervention with infants and toddlers, and school-based with school-aged children. My experience with each of these populations has brought to light just how desperately functional medicine is needed in our world.Lastly, if I am going to be drinking wine, it's going to be clean crafted (no added sugars, chemicals, pesticides, etc.) so I decided to join the mission of Scout & Cellar as an independent wine consultant in March 2019. It has shown me the value of flexibility, autonomy, and a secondary stream of income that I so wanted and needed while working fulltime in a conventional medical hospital. The past couple of years has been a blast in a glass, and we are just getting started. We are disrupting the wine industry and opening the curtain of transparency for how wine should be made and taste!I am looking forward to connecting with you in this virtual space.
