If I tell you a story that makes you feel capable of anything, I've done my job! I started my career in the nonprofit arts sector as a marketing manager, wearing every hat and enjoying every minute. Manager Of Marketing

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

As the Manager of Marketing at the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, I market, manage, and make! From the management of our in-house campaigns, to running our social media, to writing slews of emails (and punny subject lines), to serving as a one-woman graphic design and video editing team -- I get to enjoy it all in the name of serving the arts and culture community.I work with the Senior Director of External Affairs and manage a rotation of interns. I produce the Arts Council's branded materials, paid advertisements, social media content, and digital content (including blogs, web copy, and graphics), and manage projects therein. Strategy development is a collaborative effort, full of exciting challenges in the course of my work (due to overlapping with the events of 2020). Often, my work will include writing press releases and supporting all other team members with marketing support. On a small team, we wear many hats! Over the years, one can also catch my photography, video production, motion graphic design, installation mock-ups, and more as part of the organization's output. I was even part of a team supervising a brand new website, as well as two regional marketing campaigns. My favorite part of the work is making a positive impact in the lives of local artists, and bringing a positive energy to every meeting.
