San Juan County Marine Mammal Stranding Network InternThe Whale Museum May 2014 - Aug 2014San Juan Island, WaStranding network investigates, collects data, and potentially handles live and dead marine mammals. Most of the stranding involved harbor seal pups, transporting some live animals to Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center when appropriate. Dead animals in fresh condition were studied through necropsies conducted at the University of Washington Friday Harbor Labs by scientists from The Whale Museum and the SeaDoc Society.
