About Sarah Sewall

Dr. Sarah Sewall, EVP for National Innovation Strategy, guides development of IQT’s technology knowledge to inform government policymakers and co-directs IQT’s newest investing initiative to address private capital gaps in technologies crucial for U.S. global leadership. Sewall’s government positions include serving as Under Secretary of State, Member of the Defense Policy Board, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense, and Foreign Policy Advisor to the Senate Majority Leader. She served for a decade on the faculty of the Harvard Kennedy School and has also taught at the Naval War College and Johns Hopkins/SAIS. She is a Trustee of the Center for Naval Analysis. She graduated from Harvard College and Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar.
