● Act as transfer specialist to help collect, audit, import, and verify 3k incoming patent application files being transferred in from other firms by established client● Draft requests to previous firms for electronic files, portfolio lists, docket reports, and any physical files that may exist● Audit transfer files to determine which files are no longer necessary and should be purged● Review transfer portfolio for completeness and locate or request any missing files● Standardize formatting of transfer application information in Excel for import into DMS and docketing system ● Determine upcoming deadlines and work with team, client, and foreign associates to make sure they are met● Prepare and file new Power of Attorney and Change of Correspondence Address requests for active files● Prepare and send status charts to foreign associates for confirmation that the records for all non-US patent applications are up to date● Work with Docketing team and Records department to ensure incoming files opened correctly in document management system and all deadlines entered into docketing software● Provide support and training materials to other team members to ensure standard operational procedures followed

● Train new paralegal hires● Coordinate with team to develop and maintain standardized operating procedures and file management practices● Prepare weekly reports on project progress and upcoming deadlines for attorneys● Maintain spreadsheets regarding progress of incoming patent applications● Provide administrative support for remote attorneys● Perform legal research using both internal records and outside resources, requesting additional resources from client as needed ● E-file documents using the USPTO’s EFS-Web system and Electronic Patent Assignment System● Use CPI, Lecorpio, and Anaqua IP management systems to docket deadlines, send reminders, and keep clients up to date● Review legal documents for completeness and accuracy● Assist with preparation of legal documents such as response templates, information disclosure statements, or patent assignment forms● Perform client account management- actively maintaining positive long-term relationship in-house counsel, support staff, and clients
