Grew up in Monterey Bay. Graduated form North Monterey County High School in 2006 with honors. Started at San Diego State Univeristy in fall of 2006 as a Biology major and switched to Kinesiology in my second semester where I earned a position on the Dean's List for the first time. In May of 2011, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Kinsesiology with an emphasis in Physical Therapy. I relocated to the Bay Area in late July of 2011. The first position I accepted upon my arrival in the South Bay was with I Can Too Learning Center, where I worked as a behavioral therapist for children with autism. I established close connections to the children and families I worked with. I also was introduced to different teaching methods, such as Discrete Trial Training and naturalistic teaching as well as Antecedent Behavior Consequence behavior note taking. In March of 2012, I was offered a position at US Bank Home Mortgage as a Mortgage Closer. I saw the opportunity as learning experience that would be challenging and intriguing; which is exactly what this position has been for me. It has taught me how to be adaptable, flexible, and has truly challenged me academically and intellectually.
