I have been the Chairman of the Elephant Butte Chamber of Commerce for the past 2 years and have been selected again to be the Chairman for the upcoming 2013-2014 year.As Chairman, my main responsibilities are to set the agenda and run the monthly meetings. Living in a small community, you along with your board are asked to be involved much more than in the larger communities which allows you to get more in depth and truly understand how effective you are able to be. I truly enjoy being active in my community and making a difference.

As President of the Sierra County Board of Realtors, the main responsibility of President is to run the monthly meetings, work with the different committees, and to make sure that any updates, changes to our multiple listing programs, and any changes to laws pertaining to Real Estate are shared with the rest of the Board of Realtors.It is an extremely challenging responsibility but when you put the work into it, can be extremely rewarding.

While I worked at the Front Desk of the Prestigious Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa, I received the most amazing training of customer service and how a little effort can make an experience for someone be the best and have them come back again and again.In my family we have a phrase we will use when we experience the kind of customer service that you don't find everywhere, "you get it."I and my family will tell those that achieve that customer service that because you know the ones that do not understand how the small details make customer service an amazing experience and how not doing the small things gets noticed.A great experience and a passion of mine I will always hold dear.

What people may not realize about the food service industry is the many facets there can be. When I was an Associate Food Service Director with ARAMARK, I worked in the school districts overseeing the breakfast/lunch program and ensuring the proper nutrition was being given to students. We also tried very hard to cut costs where needed and to help the School Districts increase their breakfast and lunch programs. We also worked with parents of students to get the correct paperwork in so their children could be included in the programs.
