Managing a team of 30, including a 3-tier management team, having accountability for growing the sales and profitability throughout each area of the store. People Management * Fully accountable for staff selection, supervision, coaching, development and performance management. * Managing succession planning, performance issues and employee development. Performing initial assessment of events that may require disciplinary action, maintaining confidentiality. * Conducting Disciplinary Meetings to investigate events, escalating as appropriate. Coaching & Training * Coordinating staff inductions and delivering regular training on customer service and products. * Working with staff to facilitate performance and coach on techniques to improve sales service. * Assessing staff performance and identifying development requirements for regular 1:1 appraisals Retail Operations * Ultimate responsibility for daily operations, achieving approved and agreed targets.* Presenting management information, targets and business strategy to superiors and staff. * Responding promptly to changing circumstances, planning for contingencies and managing priorities. Finance * Coordinating budgets, and providing reports for payroll, sales and costs. * Maintaining efficient administrative management of all associated retail sales systems. Stock * Controlling stock loss through effective management of stock procedure systems. * Minimise shrinkage due to efficient security risk assessment. Management compliant with company expectations. Sales & Commercial Awareness * Developing return business and new custom by promoting brand reputation for quality and service. * Conducting post-event sales and product reviews to assess performance and facilitate forecasting. * Identifiying and creating new opportunities to improve and drive the business forward.
