Interned at the American Indian Initiative, working directly with Program Manager Buck Woodard (Southeastern Lower Muscogee Creek) to expand and enliven the Native American experience at historical Williamsburg. Performed research obtaining information regarding Native American experiences and life in 18th century Williamsburg, using primary sources obtained from the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Library. Analyzed information alongside public history staff to see what historical events could be executable into a public history experience at Colonial Williamsburg. Worked with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, bringing a selection of artisans and cultural representatives to form the Cherokee Camp, where Eastern Band members dressed in period regalia and shared their talents, history and culture with Colonial Williamsburg visitors for a weekend. Planned "Pamunkey Basketmaking," the first in a series of Native American arts programs which are being shared with regional Indian communities to revive traditional arts.Assisted in the execution and hosting of guests for the American Indian Lecture Series hosted at the De-Witt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum.
