I am currently a student at the University of Arkansas working on majoring in chemical engineering! I am a results driven and motivated team player who is passionate about developing innovative solutions to improve water treatment processes and improving overall water quality in communities facing freshwater shortages. My goal is to be able to apply scientific and engineering principles to develop scalable, cost-effective technology that will address global issues such as potable water scarcity or renewable energy demand. Currently seeking internship opportunities that will provide hands-on experience and serve as a stepping stone into a long-term career. This past summer I worked on a project with the MAST Center that was aimed at the removal of toxins and pollutants from lake water using an electrocoagulation process. After working in several different roles over the years in food service, cosmetology, and title insurance, I realized my passion was always in engineering! During my time in the workforce, I always loved the challenge of solving problems that improved our everyday work life. My previous work experiences have taught me the importance of details, creativity, and adaptability- all of which I now bring to my engineering studies. As I continue my journey in chemical engineering, I’m eager to explore how I can make any meaningful impacts, no matter how small, especially in areas like toxicology or environmental and human health.
