I founded, established and later sold (for 200% ROI) this highly popular retail gift store. It was so successful that it grew 200% year on year. I was closely involved in the development of the brand, marketing, and all operational systems and procedures of retail sales. I took an entrepreneurial tack and by identifying gaps within the industry (event management, wholesale lines, keynote speaking) expanded the business to fill these. I also developed an imported wholesale product line.

In addition to the usual accounting functions, I was responsible for the design management and implementation of the Y2K project. I also worked on a company restructure from both the system and accounting perspectives. A highlight of my time at NZ Sugar was saving the company $200,000 through cost improvements of 20% by managing the process improvement process (TQM) and product costing.
