About Sarah U.

Hello! I'm Sarah, and I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Computing (Honours) from Queen's University, with a minor in French and Spanish languages. I'm currently looking for Entry-Level Software Developer roles in the Toronto or Montréal area. In the summer of 2024, I worked as a DevOps Engineer Co-op with CIBC. In this role, I used Python, Jenkins, and Jira Automation to automate the fulfillment of key content and code deployment requests. My efforts reduced overall ticket resolution time by 75%, significantly decreasing demand on the DevOps team for manual deployment support. I also developed a number of other Python programs to automate Github access requests, automate pod scale-up through OpenShift, and generate custom QA reports. I have also had the pleasure of working two co-op terms with CIBC as a Test Automation Developer and Performance Test Analyst, where I used Python and Robot Testing Framework to develop automated regression and performance testing suites. I have also worked two semesters as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Computing with Data Analytics, where I graded and assisted students in using various Python data analysis packages like Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, and Scikit-learn. Additionally, I served as the 2023-2024 Operations Manager of Queen’s Bands, where I led a team of 20 executive members and oversaw the daily operations of a 100+ person marching band.I'm passionate about finding innovative and efficient solutions to solve problems, and I'm always looking to challenge myself as a programmer. If you think I'd be a good fit for your team, or would like to hear more about my experience, please don't hesitate to reach out!
