As the first in-house developer for Omnifilm Entertainment, I worked specifically with Namaste TV [https://www.namaste.tv], maintaining their custom-built Shopify theme, creating mailchimp templates for different campaigns and building features, product pages and updates within Shopify to address specific concerns or needs.

I have the greatest job at Lighthouse Labs as I was tasked with maintaining a culture set up by a crazy and hilarious community of weirdos (staff and students) who believe in alternative education models that promote technical learning through intense, hands-on training. I am responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our students, staff, alumni, community partners and the community at large by providing platforms and opportunities to connect. I have had the opportunity to make amazing connections with the tech community in Vancouver by hosting events, supporting community initiatives and attending meetups. I have had the privilege to work on a number of passion projects during my time here, most notably helping the TechToronto team bring TechVancouver to the west coast! TechVan is a monthly tech meetup that invites founders of tech-focused companies to give a 5-minute presentation on a lesson learned while building their business. As Chair of Platform Case Competition, I had the unique challenge of revitalizing the event after an unsuccessful previous year. I interviewed and brought on a stellar team of five that I had the pleasure of managing up until the event. I planned and executed all logistics for the two-day social media competition including the scope of the competition, worked with the lululemon marketing team to create the case, developed the judging process, secured our professional judges and oversaw the event on day-of.
