I served 223 libraries within 20 counties in Nebraska to provide access to improved library services. Specific work includes consultation services, continuing education and training opportunities, grants and scholarships, awards, and publishing a newsletter six times per year.

The Library Page and PSA positions merged to form the Library Aide position. In this position, I do a combination of tasks that the former page and psa positions had.

I gained experience in a variety of different aspects of public librarianship. Areas covered: reference, circulation, prepared for and taught a class on use of the library's e-book collection, young adult programming, created a tutorial for use of databases accessed through Ebsco, created "baseball card" flyers for databases, added catalog records for new materials, removed records for weeded items, toddler and preschool story times

I did my undergraduate practicum at UNMC's McGoogan Library of Medicine in the technical services department. Topics covered include: special collections, rare books, collection development, materials management, reference desk work, and cataloging.
