About Sarah Warry

A non-profit professional with over a decade of experience in wide-ranging roles in both large and small charities in the UK and abroad. While my more recent roles have focussed on funding and on business processes and systems, I often find myself working at the intersections between different teams or areas. My niche is to understand a problem or process from multiple perspectives and from end to end, to explain the issues at stake to the various parties and to propose improvements. Similarly, I’m a connector between system users and developers, translating the needs and struggles of one to the other. I thrive in problem-solving, have an analytical and logical mindset and enjoy creating clear documentation for the subjects I’m working on. My current role has involved process analysis and data analysis, while working on a project to implement a new funding and programme system has led me more towards business analysis. A linguist at heart, I love to put my language skills into practice wherever possible.

Listed skills include Research, Spanish, Teamwork, French, and 14 others.

I also manage the software system which facilitates the funding process, ensuring users are trained, working with developers to resolve bugs and make system improvements, and understanding users’ experience of the system to improve documentation, training or system features. Utilising Power BI and data from the funding system and financial systems, I produce funding KPIs which monitor raising and managing of restricted funding via a variety of lenses and with in depth analysis. This serves as input to discussions across Funding, Finance and Programmes at country, regional and global level.Recently I have also been the funding lead on a project to replace the funding system with a new combined funding and programme system. This has involved user requirements gathering, user stories, negotiating over system features and how processes are to be carried out on the system. Show less
