My career journey has been anything but linear, moving from project management in scientific and medical research to a fulfilling path in Organisational Psychology. Early on, I honed my skills in organisation, mentoring, and communication through roles in project management and research administration. Although I enjoyed this work, I wanted to be to be more directly involved in helping people succeed, specifically within leadership.This led me to become a certified coach and mentor, focusing on helping individuals navigate career transitions, build confidence, and prepare for leadership opportunities. I was able to develop skills in training, public speaking, content design, and workshop facilitation.Earning an MSc in Social and Organisational Psychology deepened my understanding of behavioural science and leadership theories, equipping me with research methodology, survey design, and data analysis skills. This academic foundation has been invaluable in my current roles as (i) co-founder of Freedom First, where I coach, design and deliver training for diverse audiences, including professionals, business leaders, and CEOs and (ii) as an internal staff coach at UCL where I work with staff to navigate their career paths, from transitioning to new areas, to preparing for promotion.Co-founding Freedom First was a pivotal step, where I’ve had the privilege of designing and delivering workshops for a diverse range of professionals, from emerging leaders to CEOs. My approach is centred on creating engaging, impactful training experiences that resonate with participants and help them explore their full potential.Facilitating people’s leadership journeys has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m continually inspired by the unique insights that emerge from each session.
