About Sarah Wickenhauser

I am a digital artist and animator with experience in marketing and website management. In college, I focused on my digital art and graphic design skills by pursuing a degree in Animation in addition to taking a variety of Graphic Design classes. I graduated May 2021 summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Animation.I have experience with many aspects of digital and print marketing and the associated graphic design skills, including developing mass email marketing campaigns, designing advertisements according to magazine and trade show program print specifications, product photography and photo processing for digital and print applications, and updating a 200+ page product catalog on both an annual (print edition) and routine (digital edition) basis.My technical skills include many programs in the Adobe Creative suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Character Animator. I am comfortable working with a variety of artistic skill sets, including graphic design, illustration, animation, and video editing.

I built many of the characters in Adobe Illustrator and rigged them for animation in Adobe Character Animator. After getting detailed shot requirements from my supervisor, I hunted down the stock footage they wanted and composited them in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, adding any necessary animation, visual effects, and alterations to the footage according to the requirements of the script. The end result of my work was the "view" seen through submarine portholes as depicted on stage by digital screens behind the submarine set. During this project I collaborated with Christian Washington, who provided the hand-drawn 2D animation of the squid attacking the submarine which I added to one of the shots I composited. Show less
