Cryoscan is specialised in the design, development and manufacturing of experimental custom-made devices, particularly in the field of vacuum, ultra-high vacuum and cryogenics.

My current research is focused on STM, LEED and ARPES study of on-surface polymerization of aryl halides on metal surfaces by Ullman reaction, a coupling reaction that has an organometallic intermediate states.I also work in collaboration with researchers around the world on various subjects such as high Tc iron superconducting materials.

Last year of master degree: study of surface polymerization (Ullmann reaction on surface). Organic molecules have been deposited on catalytic metallic surfaces to obtain one-dimensionalpolymers. STM studies on these samples show the effect of the substrate on organometallic structure and polymers.

First year of master degree: one of the current challenges in surface science is to achieve supramolecular assemblies which are machanically robust, stable under temperature change and irradiation. These materials may be used in organic electronic devices.In this context, I have found the best conditions of porphyrins evaporation on different substrates (Si(111) and mica). A study of growth modes has been subsequently done using optical and atomic force microscopes.
