About Sara Jo Ryan

In December 2012 I graduated with my Executive Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurial Real Estate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Growing up in a family of real estate and development professionals, I started my professional course into real estate and development in 2007 in my final year obtaining my bachelor’s degree from UMKC. Over the past 15 years I have work in real estate, development, property management (both residential and commercial), international and domestic business development and sales. I have a wide-spread knowledge and experience in the areas of asset management, construction, budgeting, business development and business operations. After my training and professional work internationally in 2008, my experiences overseas uncovered diversified cultures and ways of doing business that heightened my sales skill set and network. Through my career at EPR Properties I had the opportunity to be exposed to multi-million-dollar transactions, construction and development, lease administration and underwriting and analytics of deal origination. I have worked with a client base in 39 states, DC and Canada. Real estate and business development is a passion of mine on a personal level and outside of work I invest in real estate and handle property management and leasing in Kansas City. I am also a licensed realtor in both Kansas and Missouri. After obtaining my master's degree I transition to real estate operations. As the Business Operations Manager for Newmark Grubb Zimmer in downtown Kansas City I worked to coordinate and manage three offices in Kansas City, Lee's Summit and St. Louis with everything from day-to-day operations to human resources and overall procedural training.At NorthPoint Development I started my professional experience working in their Self-Storage Division (Beyond Self Storage) working in markets across the US leading site selection, underwriting and entitlements. Since the sale of this portfolio, I have moved over to Capital sourcing for NorthPoint presenting investment opportunities across the US on our industrial and multi-family front.
